With everyone’s favorite holiday for treats approaching, it might be time to start thinking of healthy ways to celebrate the Halloween season. There could be anywhere from 3,500 to 7,000 calories worth of candy in the average candy bucket. That’s nearly three times the average of a day’s intake for an average man or woman. So instead of the same old candy, try some of these healthier options that are still tasty.

Dark Chocolate Covered Apples

One healthy treat that is sure to get the kids’ attention is the dark chocolate apple. Dark chocolate has been shown to help lower blood pressure and your cholesterol. It also has been observed to lower the risk of diabetes. Being rich in antioxidants and fibers, dark chocolate covered apples are sure to give you a healthy treat. Tangerine Pumpkins

Want something quick easy and delicious? Try Tangerine Pumpkins. Not only are tangerines high in antioxidants, but they are also are a great source of vitamin C.
