With advances in technology, it has become easier to track our own personal health. Whether its an Apple watch or a Fitbit, technology allows us to manage certain activities, whether it’s your breathing, your heart rate, or even your caloric intake. There have been many amazing inventions over the last several years that you might want to incorporate into your life. Today, I would like to go over some of the technological advances in the health field.
Fitbit
Right out the gate, I thought I should talk about Fitbit. It’s probably one of the most popular items in the health-tech market. If you don’t know already, Fitbit allows you to track quite a few things like your steps, your sleeping schedule, and heart rate; it can even answer your text messages. Have you ever heard of an altimeter? Well, it tracks your elevation throughout the day and the Fitbit has one built in. If you’re looking for something that can track a wide many aspects of your health, then the Fitbit might be for you.
Zepp
For my athletes and sports fans, there is a device called Zepp that allows you to track the sports “item” you decide to place it on. For instance, if I wanted to track soccer, I would place the sensor on a baseball bat, it would be able to track my total hits, swing speed, form, etc. This tracker works for many sports. Another cool tool that comes with the sensor is a highlight tape that captures 10 seconds of footage.
Vessyl Cup
For those who want something to track their dietary content in liquids (you might want to), then allow me to introduce you to the Vessyl Cup. The Vessyl Cup tracks and analyzes the liquids you put in it, while also being able to tell you the sugar, protein, calories, fat, and caffeine of the liquid. The cup synchronizes with your smartphones and downloads the data instantly. The cup also can identify what you’re drinking, which is amazing.
FOODsniffer
The FOODsniffer is the first mobile device that actually determines the quality, freshness, and safety of meat, poultry, and fish. By measuring the gas levels, the sniffer allows you to know if something is safe to eat or if you should throw it out. There isn’t much more on this item as of yet; it has been in development for a while, but as it is developed, we can expect it to be used greatly more while shopping and cooking.
